Mrs. Judith Ann Yancey, 84 of Gillsville passed away Sunday August 23, 2026, at Hamilton Place Assisted Living.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Yancey was the daughter of the late Allen and Cora Dean Shiveley. Mrs. Yancey was a resident of Gwinnett County for over 50 years before moving to Hall County. She was retired from the Gwinnett County School System and was a member of The Church on Main in Snellville, Georgia.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Folger (Regina), Hillsboro, Ohio, Todd Folger (Ginger), Gillsville, Ga., grandchildren, Cory Pinkerman (Chrystal), Zeke Henderson (Katie), Kristia Powell (Ryan), Amber Folger (Oscar Burbano), Isabella Folger. Nine great grandchildren also survive, brother, Royce Shiveley (Lisa), of Ohio, sisters, Donna Hagar, Jackson, MS and Teri Lute (Tim) of Ohio. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jamey Prickett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday August 24 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted, but those wishing to make memorial contributions may make contributions to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, Georgia 30501 in memory of Mrs. Yancey.
